What is this??

It’s a little game we like to play…

The Tea Party at the End of the Universe (or “the tea party game” when we’re feeling lazy) is a unique little parlor LARP where everyone embodies a fictional character from another story. Once a month, these characters find a magical pathway open in their disparate worlds…and wandering down it leads them to a pleasant little house where a reluctant host grumblingly serves them tea and pastries while waiting for them to all be shunted back to their own tales.

What We know so far…

tHE mOON

tHE PATHWAYS BETWEEN STORIES ONLY OPEN ONCE A MONTH.

The rest of the time the places where they can be found do not exist.

The Host

Is named Heathcliff, and seems like he very much wishes all paths didn’t lead to his door.

Can’t fault the tea service, though.

The Squirrels

For some damned reason the squirrels seem to be able to get between the stories at any time.

Unfortunately…they move at squirrel speed.

Squirrels!

Why squirrels?

Have you met a squirrel? They get everywhere. Always digging things up. Running around in impossible ways. Wearing cute little hats. Honestly, if it wasn’t squirrels, you should probably be asking yourself why not?

But more importantly, squirrels are established by Science to exist primarily in liminal spaces. That’s why their claws are so long. Why their fur gleams the way it does. Why they, very clearly, don’t give a fuck about gravity or boundaries or much of anything else. Squirrels have been running down our telephone lines for as long as we’ve been awkwardly stringing them up. Their little brains have been exposed to your electronic thought waves since they were babies. Honestly, it’s kind of your fault that they’re this way. But…don’t feel bad. They seem to enjoy it

And in the unfortunate happenstance that you are a character thought up by somebody else with no idea how to break free of the rules and limitations the Author has set for you…they might be your only hope.
